Training Terms and Conditions at CSW TOTEM

1. General provisions

1.1. These Terms and Conditions define the rules of participation in training courses organized by CSW TOTEM P. Pysz E. Szymczyk General Partnership.

1.2. The Terms and Conditions consist of two parts: general information applicable to all training participants and detailed information concerning specific training programs.

1.3. Each Participant is obliged to read the information concerning the training course in which they participate.

2. Participant verification and medical assessment

2.1. Before the start of the training, the Participant is required to present the instructor with a photo identity document (ID card, passport, or driving licence). On this basis, the instructor verifies the participant’s identity.

2.2. Before the start of each training day (module), the Participant completes a medical assessment form.

3. Rights and obligations of the Participant

3.1. The Participant is obliged to:

  • participate in all theoretical and practical classes within the selected training module (absence from any part of the training results in a negative assessment).
  • comply with the health and safety rules provided by the instructor before the start of the training.
  • read the risk assessment for individual training stations.
  • follow the instructor’s instructions and perform tasks in accordance with their recommendations.
     

IRATA TRAINING

4. Conditions for admission to training

4.1. The participant must:

  • be at least 18 years old.
  • sign a declaration confirming that there are no health contraindications to participating in the training.
  • present a photo identity document.
  • meet the IRATA organization’s requirements regarding refresher training or upgrading qualifications in accordance with the rules described in the IRATA Training Assessment and Certification Scheme document.
  • have a completed IRATA Logbook on the first day of training (in accordance with the rules described in section 6).
  • Be registered on the IRATA Tech Connect portal https://techconnect.irata.org/register

 

5. What is included in the training price

- conducting the training and examination;

- providing training equipment (Petzl, Singing Rock);

- providing a training manual;

- lunch on each training day;

- beverages: water, coffee, tea, and small snacks;

- IRATA certificate in the form of a certificate document and plastic ID card;

- IRATA Logbook, if applicable;

- sending documentation and certificates to the address indicated by the Participant by the IRATA office

CERTIFICATE – IMPORTANT:
The IRATA certificate (paper certificate, plastic card, and logbook, if applicable) is sent by the IRATA office directly to the participant to the address indicated in the TechConnect system.
The waiting time for the certificate is approximately 4 weeks. After dispatching the certificate, IRATA does not send additional notifications.

Any additional questions regarding the certificate or its shipment should be addressed directly to the IRATA Registration Department: registration@irata.org

 

6. Logbook

6.1. In accordance with IRATA TACS 4.3.4, rope access technicians who wish to refresh their certificate or obtain a higher level must present a correctly completed IRATA Logbook on the first day of training.

6.2. The Logbook will be verified by the Instructors on the first day of training.

6.3. Lack of a Logbook prevents the Participant from starting the training in accordance with IRATA requirements.

6.5.

L2 and L3:

 In the event of losing the Logbook, the Participant must apply to IRATA for a new copy (https://irata.org/page/replacement-docs2) before the start of the training and attend the training with the new Logbook. The process of ordering a new Logbook may take up to 3 weeks.

Only for L1 recertification:

An exception applies to Level 1 in the case of recertification – in such a case, ordering the Logbook during the training is permitted. In this situation, the Participant is obliged to immediately inform the Instructor of this fact.

The fee for issuing a new Logbook is charged according to the IRATA price list (approx. GBP 60). The current price will be provided in the online store under the IRATA Logbook tab.

7. Certificate

7.1. After successfully passing the examination, the Participant receives an automatic notification from the Tech Connect system confirming completion of the examination and verification of documents by the IRATA office.

7.2. Examination documents are verified and approved by the IRATA office.

7.3. The waiting time for the physical certificate is approximately 1–1.5 months.

7.4. The certificate will be visible fastest on the IRATA Tech Connect profile after logging in: https://techconnect.irata.org/login

7.5 The IRATA certificate (paper certificate, plastic card, and logbook, if applicable) is sent by the IRATA office directly to the participant to the address indicated in the TechConnect system.
The waiting time for the certificate is approximately 4 weeks. After sending the certificate, IRATA does not send additional notifications or a Tracking Number. Please monitor your mail to avoid the shipment being returned.

Any additional questions regarding the certificate or its shipment should be addressed in English directly to the IRATA Registration Department:
registration@irata.org.

8. Clothing during training

8.1. It is recommended to:

  • wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement;
  • in winter – wear warmer clothing, e.g. thermal or layered clothing;
  • wear head covering, e.g. a scarf or buff, for hygiene purposes when using a helmet; IMPORTANT
  • wear work-type or hiking ankle boots – for increased safety.
  • bring work gloves allowing precise handling of equipment during exercises; IMPORTANT
 

 

GWO TRAINING

9. Conditions for admission to training

9.1. The participant must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • sign a declaration confirming that there are no health contraindications;
  • present a photo identity document;
  • have a WINDA number (you will register after receiving an e-mail sent 4 days before the training);
  • hold a valid GWO BST certificate for the relevant module, in the case of refresher training.

9.2. In the case of GWO Refresher training, the participant or the person registering them is obliged to check the validity of the certificates and register for the appropriate course:

- GWO BST Refresher – if the previous certificate is still valid;

- GWO BST – if the previous certificate has expired.

9.3. A participant of GWO Sea Survival training must hold a valid GWO Working at Height certificate on the day of the training.

10. What is included in the training price

- conducting the training;

- providing training equipment (Petzl, Singing Rock);

- training materials;

- lunch on each training day, for training held between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.;

- beverages: water, coffee, tea, and small snacks.

11. Training assessment

11.1. GWO training courses are subject to continuous assessment by the instructor.

11.2. The Participant must complete the entire training program and correctly perform all exercises.

11.3. The instructor assesses the Participant on an ongoing basis, recording progress in the assessment form.

12. Certificate

12.1. After completing the training, the Participant is entered into the GWO WINDA system within 7 business days. If you need to be entered immediately after the training, please inform us by e-mail at szkolenia@cswtotem.pl.

12.2. Through the WINDA platform, the Participant can independently generate their GWO certificate. Physical certificates are not issued by CSW TOTEM unless agreed otherwise.

13. Appeals

13.1. The Participant has the right to appeal against the assessment issued by the instructor.

13.2. The appeal should be submitted electronically to: szkolenia@cswtotem.pl.

13.3. Training courses at CSW TOTEM are conducted reliably and in accordance with applicable standards – since 2016, no cases of a negative course completion assessment have been recorded.

14. Clothing during training

Theoretical part:

Theoretical part:

  • classes take place in comfortable training rooms;
  • casual clothing is recommended.

Practical part:

Working at Height and Manual Handling modules:

  • classes take place in the CSW TOTEM training hall;
  • in winter, warmer clothing is recommended, such as thermal or layered clothing;
  • head covering, e.g. a scarf or buff, for hygiene reasons when using a helmet – IMPORTANT!
  • ankle boots, work or trekking type;
  • work gloves allowing precise handling of equipment during exercises must be brought – IMPORTANT!

Fire Awareness module:

  • practical exercises take place at an outdoor training ground;
  • clothing should be adapted to weather conditions;
  • during the classes, the participant passes through a smoke-filled container and takes part in fire extinguishing exercises.

First Aid module:

  • practical classes take place in the lecture room;
  • there is no need to bring additional clothing to change into.

Sea Survival module:

  • swimwear and a towel;
  • comfortable clothing or long-sleeved thermal underwear worn under the transfer suit; the clothing may get wet;
  • clothing to change into after practical exercises.
